6:36Now PlayingHealth secretary Steve Barclay says that the correct way forward for pay reviews in the NHS is to wait until next year's independent pay review body meeting.
He told Sky News that it "would not be appropriate" to revisit this year's pay review that was decided upon last April, but that he was "happy to listen to concerns." after a meeting with union officials.
He implored NHS workers not to go on strike, but said that he recognised the "significant pressures that the frontline was facing."
