In Pakistan, at least one person has died and more than a thousand people arrested during violent protests over the arrest of Imran Khan.

A court hearing has ruled the former Prime Minister can be held in custody - for questioning on corruption charges - for just over a week.

Senior figures in Imran Khan's PTI party have told Sky News they are hiding in fear of being detained as police have arrested more than 900 PTI supporters and protestors in Punjab province alone.
