as posted by the channel

Israel's Supreme Court hears the first in a series of appeals against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plans to overhaul the country's judicial system.

The appeal will challenge Netanyahu's amendment to a law that would make it even harder for a Prime Minister to be removed from power.

Opponents to the changes say there is a conflict of interest surrounding Netanyahu's involvement in his government's legal overhaul while he is on trial for corruption, but his supporters say the amendments will protect any democratically elected leader from being wrongfully ousted.
