3:54Now PlayingFormer prime minister Liz Truss has given her first major speech on the economy since leaving office in October 2022.
She told the Institute for Government think tank her mini-budget did not crash the UK economy - but she did accept going too far, too fast.
"It was certainly true that I didn't just try to fatten the pig on market day but tried to rear the pig, fatten the pig and slaughter it on market day," she said.
Ms Truss' premiership lasted just 45 days - she resigned after her disastrous mini-budget triggered weeks of economic turmoil.
