4:31Now PlayingCaroline Lucas, the Green Party's one MP, has hit out at Home Secretary Suella Braverman who said that "we're not going to save the planet by bankrupting the British people".
In response, Ms Lucas told Sky News: "It's hard to know where to start to unpack that totally economically illiterate comment."
She said that, as some of Ms Braverman's own backbenchers have been saying, "investing in the green economy is good for the economy, it's good for jobs, it's good for people's pockets".
