7:44Now PlayingShadow paymaster general Jonathan Ashworth MP has voiced support for the High Speed 2 rail line, saying that it "was a project that has had Labour support" and that it "adds needed capacity to the network".
This was despite Sir Keir Starmer signing a petition with Camden Labour back in 2015 about HS2 "being a blight in Euston for years to come". Mr Ashworth said that the agenda "had moved on" since that time.
