as posted by the channelJustice Secretary Alex Chalk has been challenged about our exclusive report into the conditions for staff inside HMP Five Wells in Northamptonshire.
Three prison guards have blown the whistle on life inside the state-of-the-art super prison run by security firm G4S. They say they are short-staffed, there are too many inexperienced staff, they are under-equipped and there is a culture that is allowing prisoners to run riot.
Asked about the report, the justice secretary said: "I was clear that we want to look into them rapidly, so I've given instructions [for inquiries to] take place, particularly in respect of equipment."
