The IDF has said that 1,200 Israelis have been killed since Saturday's Hamas incursion, with a further 2,700 injured. As a result of unrelenting retaliatory Israeli strikes on Gaza, around 900 Palestinians have been killed, with 4,500 wounded.
Today, the US secretary of state Antony Blinken will arrive in Israel to meet senior leaders.
