15:01Now PlayingEndometriosis affects one in 10 women, and Sky's Charline Bou Mansour is one of them. It was back in January 2020 when she joined the group of hundreds of millions of women around the world who’ve been diagnosed with this condition.
Though symptoms vary from person to person, some describe their endometriosis cramps as feeling like contractions that come and go and mimic those of labour pains.
But until a cure is found, women will continue to face a trial and error of treatment options - and that's only once they've been diagnosed.
