as posted by the channel

Tom Cheshire visits two communities in Worcestershire that are just a few miles apart.

But Upton upon Severn and Eckington have radically different levels of flood protection.

Upton on Severn has a flood barrier that protects homes and businesses from the River Severn.

Eckington has no protection and is frequently flooded by the Avon.

Sky's Data and Forensics correspondent looks at why some areas are given protection when others are not, and what other measures can be deployed to hold off the flood waters.
