as posted by the channelArmed Forces minister James Heappey has given further detail on the strikes undertaken against Houthi military targets in Yemen.
He confirmed 'four Royal Air Force typhoon jets departed Royal Air Force Akrotiri at 7.30pm on Thursday' and they were joined by two refuelling 'tankers'.
Mr Heappey also disclosed that: "All of these jets then took part in a set of co-ordinated strikes alongside the United States."
He reiterated that the strikes on Houthi targets were 'self- defence after warnings a week ago.'
