2:33Now PlayingBosses of water companies responsible for illegal sewage spills are to face a ban on receiving bonuses after years of campaigns and public outrage.
Environment Secretary Steve Barclay announced payouts would be blocked to those who oversee the polluting of rivers, lakes and seas - starting in the financial year beginning in April 2024.
It was revealed that bosses received more than £26m in bonuses, benefits, and incentives over the last four years - although some declined bonus payments last year in response to public anger.
