Labour and the Greens have ditched their candidates, the Tory candidate was on holiday until a week before the vote, and now there are a total of 11 candidates in the race - many running as independents.
With just one day to go, some residents are concerned issues such as poverty, homelessness and child sexual exploitation, which have plagued the town in recent years, are being lost in the political chaos.
