14:44Now PlayingCaroline Flack's mother has told Sky News her daughter's celebrity status is likely to have contributed towards the police's decision to charge the TV presenter with domestic abuse.
Speaking to Sky's Sarah-Jane Mee on the UK Tonight, Christine Flack said the portrayal of her daughter as a domestic abuser is "what hurts" and there was "no written rationale" for charging her.
It comes as the force announced it would reinvestigate the circumstances leading up to the decision to charge Caroline Flack with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton.
The 40-year-old former Love Island host died in February 2020, with a coroner saying she took her own life after discovering she would be prosecuted.
