YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSerious flooding has struck southern Brazil, leaving tens of thousands homeless and killing at lest 90 people.
Researchers say the floods are linked to climate change and the El Nino weather event.
El Nino warms the waters of the Pacific, creating more moisture in the atmosphere, whilst climate change can intensify those effects.
The flooding comes amid record global temperatures, which saw the warmest April on record last month.
