9:42Now PlayingSecurity minister Tom Tugendhat has called Nigel Farage "Putin's poodle" following his remarks in which the Reform leader said the West "provoked" the Ukraine War.
Speaking to Sky's Politics Hub, the Conservative said the Reform UK leader sounds "more like Neville Chamberlain" than Churchill, accusing him of "appeasement".
He said: "During the Cold War, we had a word for people like that. We called them useful idiots. And it sounds to me like Nigel Farage is just being Putin's poodle on this."
After making the remarks, Mr Farage later explained Putin was wrong to invade a sovereign nation but said the EU was also wrong to expand eastwards.
