5:30Now PlayingIsraeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to "exact a heavy price" if Israel is attacked after its military killed a leading Hezbollah leader in Beirut and a Hamas leader was assassinated in Tehran.
Hezbollah confirmed Israel's strike on Tuesday had killed the top commander Fuad Shukr.
But Israel has not confirmed if it was behind the killing of Hamas' political leader, Ismael Haniyeh, in Iran.
"Citizens of Israel, challenging days lie ahead," Mr Netanyahu said in a televised statement.
"Since the strike in Beirut there are threats sounding from all directions. We are prepared for any scenario and we will stand united and determined against any threat. Israel will exact a heavy price for any aggression against us from any arena."
