2:17Now PlayingLucy Connolly, the wife of Conservative councillor Raymond Connolly, pleaded guilty to sending a message online that stirred up racial hatred following the Southport attacks.
She had apologised for her post, on X, before being arrested early last month, saying she had acted on '"false and malicious" information.
Mr Connolly described her actions as those of "an upset housewife."
