10:05Now PlayingBusiness Secretary Jonathan Reynolds has told Sky News the current gifts and donations system for politicians is clear, transparent and there are "very clear rules" on what can and cannot be accepted.
He was speaking after a Sky News investigation revealed that Sir Keir Starmer had received £107,145 in gifts since becoming Labour leader - the highest number of any MP.
The prime minister is a regular at Arsenal matches and in the summer was pictured at a Taylor Swift concert.
Mr Reynolds said: "I think anyone who's doing a job of the pressure, of the scale, of the importance that the prime minister does, spends pretty much every bit of their waking life working on it.
"And if they've got the chance for a little bit of time with somebody or something that's important to them...I don't think that's a problem."
