Asked how Iran could respond if Israel hit their nuclear facilities, he says: "The truth is we are in unchartered waters, and we can't be sure that Israel wouldn't take that opportunity."
He added: "If they did, that would be a highly escalated reaction in the eyes of Iranians, and a much stronger response might be possible."
