3:19Now PlayingA British mountaineer and her American companion who had been stranded in the Himalayas for three days without food have been rescued.
Fay Manners and Michelle Dvorak were trekking up Chaukhamba mountain in India when rockfall cut the rope holding their equipment. Ms Dvorak says they had to eat snow which "wasn't very pleasant".
The pair sent a distress signal down to base camp and authorities were eventually able to airlift them out of harm. They say it took so long to be rescued due to visibility issues because it was "too snowy" for the helicopter to fly.
Despite the haunting experience, they told Sky's Kay Burley they would "reconsider" climbing the mountain again next year.
