Smart Green Shipping's FastRig system will be trialled with the Nuclear Transport Solutions vessel, "The Pacific Grebe" on a trip from Barrow to Southampton.
The collaboration is part of a wider focus to reduce emissions from the maritime sector, which accounts for around 3% of global CO2 emissions.
