9:45Now PlayingHealth Secretary Wes Streeting has told Sky News that Labour are "not proposing to go ahead" with a ban on smoking in pub gardens or outdoor hospitality, saying that this was a "leak of a government discussion".
Mr Streeting says the hospitality industry has "taken a battering" and he does not "want to add to their pressures".
This comes as the government will introduce a new policy that will prevent anyone born after 1 January 2009 from buying tobacco. Mr Streeting describes this as a "groundbreaking" piece of legislation that will create the "first ever smoke-free generation".
