While answering questions from factory workers in north Wales, Sir Keir said growing the economy is "the number one mission of this government".
The PM was also asked about the UK's post-Brexit relationship with the EU - to which he responded that Britain needs "a better deal with Europe" when it comes to trade, security and defence.
