YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn 1978, Louise Joy Brown was called the first "test tube baby" by the papers, and now her story has become a film about the invention of IVF.
The new film Joy explores one of the most significant scientific breakthroughs and the backlash it faced leading up to Louise's birth. But despite it being set in the 1970s, societal pressures haven't changed that much.
James Norton, who plays IVF pioneer Bob Edwards in the film, says "those who want a child should have that choice". However, due to the "postcode lottery", some people don't have access to this "incredibly important science".
