The NHS is busier than it has ever been at the start of the winter, new figures show.

Some 95% of beds are already occupied this month - that figure is normally not reached util the middle of the winter.

Flu, Covid, norovirus and winter respiratory illnesses make up the bulk of those cases being treated in hospital.

But there has also been a dramatic 350% rise in people hospitalised with flu.
