as posted by the channelMiddle East analysts say the rule of Syria's leader Bashar al Assad is under threat following lightning advances by the country's rebels.
Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS), which used to called Jabhat al Nusra when it was an al Qaeda affiliate, has put the regime on the ropes after taking the cities of Aleppo and Hama.
The fighters are now advancing towards Homs.
That city is a key gateway to government strongholds such as Latakia and Damascus.
