We have spoken to women who had secret apps installed on their phones that tracked their movements, and passed on their messages and emails.
Fourteen of the 18 most commonly detected 'stalkerware' apps that were made by three different cybersecurity companies were advertised as parental control apps.
But they were used by abusers to watch over former or current partners.
