Currently there are 88 men who have inherited their title from their parents sitting in the parliament, most of which are Conservatives.
Sky's political correspondent Serena Barker-Singh spoke to the Earl of Devon, who has one of the oldest hereditary peerages. He says the role is part of the country's "heritage and culture".
