Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says the ceasefire deal with Hamas will end at midday on Saturday and fighting will resume if Israeli hostages are not freed.

Hamas said this week it was delaying the release of the hostages after accusing Israel of breaching the ceasefire deal.

"If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon - the ceasefire will be terminated, and the IDF will return to intense fighting until Hamas is finally defeated," Mr Netanyahu said in a statement.
