as posted by the channelJesse Eisenberg, who starred, wrote and directed A Real Pain, has told Sky News how he came up with the story for the film.
He said: "I was trying to adapt a short story I wrote about two similar characters going to Mongolia together and the script was not going well. Then an ad came on the internet for Holocaust tours with lunch... and it took me to an upper-middle class, English-speaking tour of Holocaust sites and I just thought it was such a fascinating phenomenon.
"This idea that we want to tour historical sites of trauma but at the same time maintain the creature comforts of staying in a nice hotel, taking an air-conditioned bus or sitting first class in a train on the way to Auschwitz."
