Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper are unveiling new plans for neighbourhood policing - it comes amid fears that a lack of a visible police presence is driving street crime.

The government has said its early focus as part of its neighbourhood policing guarantee will be to put named local officers into each neighbourhood, with 13,000 more officers by 2029.
