3:00Now PlayingAs the UK's hot spell continues, forecasters say there's a small chance temperatures could reach 30 Celsius today, making it the warmest ever start to May since records began.
It would be the earliest in the calendar year that temperatures have been that high on record (the previous earliest date was 12 May 1945). May temperatures have only exceeded 30C eight times since records began, mostly near the end of the month.
