3:27Now PlayingForty hectares of greenhouses, which will be heated by burning rubbish, are set to be built in Essex - making it the largest low-carbon horticulture site in Europe.
These greenhouses, which will be located in Rivenhall, in the Braintree area, will be the first of their kind and could provide around 6% of the tomatoes consumed in the UK.
The project should be operational by 2027, when almost all the county's household rubbish will be incinerated at the site, rather than going to landfill where it would emit damaging gasses into the atmosphere.
