Speaking to Trevor Phillips, Zia Yusuf claimed that Labour are "well behind us now in the polls" after having "won a big majority" in last year's general election.
Mr Yusuf was also questioned over where his party's proposed cuts would come from, after he suggested that savings amounting to £300bn would be possible over five years.
