Brian Leishman told Sky's Sophy Ridge he was still in a "state of shock".
Rachael Maskell, Chris Hinchliff, Neil Duncan-Jordan and Mr Leishman were suspended from the party for repeatedly "breaching party discipline", Sky News understands.
