8:44Now PlayingBritish surgeon Dr Nick Maynard, who has been working in Gaza, has been speaking to Sky's Yalda Hakim about what he says is a famine there. Israeli officials have rejected allegations from aid groups of a famine..
Dr Maynard said he has seen "profound malnutrition" and that "many people die of malnutrition".
He also said gunshot wounds were centred around different body parts on certain days, suggesting IDF soldiers were engaged in a kind of "target practice".
"It seemed to us like it was a game of target practice," Dr Maynard said.
"I never believed this was possible unless I'd seen it with my own eyes."
The IDF said: "The IDF categorically rejects the claims of intentional harm to civilians, particularly in the manner described.
"For the sake of clarity, the army’s binding orders prohibit forces operating in the area from intentionally firing at civilians."
"We are aware of reports of casualties among those who arrived at the aid distribution sites. These incidents are under examination by the relevant IDF authorities.
"Any allegation of a violation of the law or regulations will be thoroughly investigated, including taking appropriate action if necessary."
