as posted by the channel

An Eritrean man will not be deported to France tomorrow under the government's "one in, one out" policy after he won his High Court bid to have the removal temporarily blocked.

The man arrived in the UK after travelling through Italy and France and was due to be removed on a commercial flight on Wednesday at 9am.

He was due to be the first person to be deported under the terms of the new UK-France migrant returns deal.

But lawyers acting on his behalf warned the High Court that the man could be left destitute if he was returned to France tomorrow.
