Chair, Criminal Cases Review Commission, Dame Vera Baird, says "a key point to remember is they've got case loads of about 30 or so each, so we are pretty short staffed."
"There is a pretty determined effort to tackle these" but it's the material that counts, she says.
"If there is no material the obvious outcome" is there will be a day that the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) will have to say they've done all they can.
But Dame Vera Bird says CCRC will "dig and dig and dig to find what we can, to try and make it different."
