2:10Now PlayingHurricane Melissa, the most powerful hurricane of the year so far, has hit Cuba after ripping through Jamaica. The Category 5 hurricane, which has now been downgraded, has left a trail of destruction in Jamaica, with Prime Minister Andrew Holness saying it "ravaged" the country.
Sky's science correspondent Thomas Moore said Hurricane Melissa is "only the second or third powerful hurricane in recorded Atlantic history".
He adds that "735,000 people have been moved out of harm's way" in Cuba, with up to 50cm of rain just today which could cause landslides and further damage.
