as posted by the channelA former BBC journalist has told Sky News he is "not in the least surprised" about the Donald Trump speech Panorama controversy and the subsequent resignation of BBC director general Tim Davie and CEO of News Deborah Turness.
Tom Mangold – who worked at BBC News for 40 years and made more than 120 Panoramas – told Sky News the BBC News division "could not go on as it was going".
"In the past two or three years, things have happened at BBC News which never happened in my 40 years", he said.
Addressing the Trump video furore, he continued: "You can't mis-edit the president of the United States and hope to get away with it."
