YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

The BBC has apologised for its edit to a speech made by Donald Trump on January 6 2021, just before a mob rioted at the US Capitol building.

It added that it was an "error of judgement" and the programme will "not be broadcast again in this form on any BBC platforms".

A BBC spokesperson said that "the BBC sincerely regrets the manner in which the video clip was edited". But they also added that "we strongly disagree there is a basis for a defamation claim".
