Reg Walker says ticket sales platforms are under such sophisticated attacks from criminal gangs in the UK and abroad, that in the last 12 months, the UK ticketing industry has "lost its ability" to sell tickets for big events to genuine fans at face value.
It comes as some of the biggest names in music - including Coldplay, Dua Lipa and Radiohead - have urged the government to honour a pledge to cap ticket resale prices and shutout touts.
