6:37Now PlayingThe government is bringing the issue of the European Union back into the debate as it seeks to take on Nigel Farage.
Speaking to Sky News, Government Minister Stephen Kinnock says that Brexit was "an act of economic self-harm" and that it also "reduced our sovereignty because they said they would improve the control of our borders, but precisely the opposite has happened".
He adds that the government is "absolutely clear that we do need a much better and closer relationship with the European Union for our economy, to better control our borders, and also because we live in a dangerous and turbulent world, and we need partners".
