5:00:22Now PlayingWatch live from the House of Lords as peers gather for the final debate of the year on the assisted dying bill legislation.
It comes as peers have been warned not to "sabotage" the assisted dying bill, as it is debated in the Lords for the last time this year.
More than 1,100 amendments to the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill have been scheduled, although around 700 of those are from just eight individuals, while only around 80 have so far been discussed in the upper chamber.
Now Dame Esther Rantzen, who was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2023, is warning her fellow peers not to block the proposed legislation, which has already been passed by MPs in the Commons.
