A 26-year-old protester faces "imminent" execution in Iran after he was arrested in connection with anti-regime demonstrations.

Erfan Soltani, from the city of Fardis, is due to be executed on Wednesday, according to Norway-based rights group Hengaw.

The reports come as Donald Trump urged demonstrators to "keep protesting" and promised that "help is on its way" in a post on Truth Social.

Reports suggest more than 2,000 anti-regime protesters have been killed in demonstrations.
