1:42Now PlayingFormer home secretary Suella Braverman has hit out at her former party saying it's a "very toxic environment" within the Conservatives.
Braverman has become the latest Conservative MP to defect to Reform UK.
Speaking to Sky's political correspondent Amanda Akass, when asked why she has defected now, Braverman said: "I've been thinking about it for some time, I've been politically homeless for the best part of two years, I have not had confidence in the Conservative Party."
She added: "It's events over the last few days which have really tipped me over the line, the fact it is a very toxic environment, there is now a concerted effort to expunge from the party anyone who wants robust borders, anyone on the right of British politics."
