as posted by the channelBroadcaster and Childline founder Dame Esther Rantzen has told Mornings with Ridge and Frost that she's "hopeful" for the future of lung cancer treatment, after the announcement of a new pilot scheme on the NHS.
Under the scheme, AI software will be used to analyse lung scans and flag suspicious spots, before a robotic catheter takes precise biopsies, which are then checked in a lab to diagnose or rule out cancer.
It will, however, have an upper age limit, which Dame Esther, who is 85, told the programme she had issue with.
