Ratcliffe went on in his statement to add: "But it is important to raise the issue of controlled and well-managed immigration that supports economic growth."
It comes after the businessman faced calls to apologise for his comments from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, as well as Chancellor Rachel Reeves, and Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey.
