Asked by Sky's political editor Beth Rigby in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, what she thought of the emails, released as part of a dump of data by the US Justice Department, Yvette Cooper said: "It's vile, yes, it makes me so angry.
"I'm not going to cut across a police investigation, but that makes me feel so angry," she said.
Lord Mandelson has been bailed on suspicion of misconduct in public life - he denies all wrongdoing.
She also spoke about Britain's support for Ukraine in the war against Russia.
